Registration and Cancellation Policies

Youth Programs

Scout Badge Programs

Registration
Pre-registration is required two weeks in advance for all badge programs. Cost includes parking. We require one actively involved adult chaperone per five children. There is no charge for adults. A deposit of $100 is due at the time of registration, with the full amount due the day of the program. Your date will be confirmed when the deposit is received.

Mail registrations to Chicago Botanic Garden, Youth Programs Coordinator, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, IL 60022. Checks or credit cards are accepted as payment. Fax registrations to (847) 242-6350. Credit card payment is required for faxed registration.

Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your registration up to two weeks before the program for a $20 administrative handling fee, or you may reschedule your program to another day at no additional cost. We are unable to refund any cancellations made with less than two weeks’ notice. Programs cancelled by the Garden due to weather or closure that cannot be rescheduled will automatically be fully refunded. You’ll be notified of a cancellation 24 hours prior to the date of the program. To cancel or reschedule, please call (847) 835-8239.

Scout Seasonal Workshops

Club CBG

Each program has space for a maximum of 20 children. Classes will be cancelled unless the minimum enrollment of 7 children is met (see Cancellation Policy for more information).

EMERGENCY contact Form
Prior to the start of a session, you will need to complete an Emergency Contact Form. It will be emailed to you by the program coordinator.

Family Programs

Registration

We are unable to give refunds for cancellations with less than one week’s notice. age limits
Programs are accessible at multiple levels for children ages 2 through 4. For the Fall 2010 session, children must be 2 by September 1, 2010 for the 2- and 3-year-old class; children must be 3 by September 1, 2010 for the 3- and 4-year-old class.

Each series has space for a maximum of 12 children accompanied by one adult each. Please call (847) 835-6826 if you have multiple children within the age range. Series will be cancelled unless the minimum enrollment of five children is met (see Cancellation Policy for more information).

Nature Nights

Registration

You may cancel a registration up to one week before the program for a $5 administrative handling fee per child, or you may transfer your registration into another Nature Night at no additional cost. We are not able to give refunds for cancellations with less than one week’s notice. Programs cancelled by the Garden due to low enrollment, weather or closure will automatically be fully refunded. You’ll be notified of a cancellation 24 hours prior to the start of the program. Should this occur, you may opt to reschedule to another Nature Night.
